Today we are learning about one of my favorite composers — French impressionist composer, Claude Debussy. His music is simply gorgeous and I love to both play it and hear it played. It feels and sounds dreamy and there’s not usually a strong beat. There’s something simply poetic about it.
Debussy’s music was meant to create images and moods. As you check out this week’s playlist after listening to the episode, try painting or coloring an image that comes into your mind as you listen to his music. When you do so, you can enter a fun drawing and win one of two $25 gift cards two Amazon!
Here’s how to enter the drawing:
- Listen to the Debussy playlist I’ve put together for you. As you listen, paint or color or draw a picture inspired by the music that you hear.
- Send me an image of your picture at firstname.lastname@example.org or tag me on Social Media (be sure image setting is public!) on Instagram or Facebook.
- Entries must be received by midnight EST on September 7th. Drawing will be conducted on September 7th and two entrants will receive $25 gift cards to Amazon.
- Winners will be contacted via e-mail or social media (depending on how entry was submitted).
