GUIDED LISTENING

We'll explore the music of Peter & the Wolf over the course of 3 days

RHYTHM

We'll learn about quarter note rhythms and practice playing them as we accompany the "Hunters' Theme" of the symphony.

PROKOFIEV

A kid-friendly biography will introduce little ones to this famous composer.

BALLET

We'll learn about the ballet -- both history and terminology.

Carly is engaging and a joyful presence that not only keeps our daughter interested but encourages her through the learning process.

WHAT ELSE YOU SHOULD KNOW

No musical experience needed

Your child doesn't need previous knowledge of music or how to play music in order to participate in this camp's activities. I'll teach very, very basic elements of rhythm and the remaining activities will be exploring sounds and instruments from Peter & the Wolf.

Minimal materials required

I've done the heavy lifting for you when it comes to the work for this program! You'll need to provide your student with crayons or markers, paper -- and that's it! If you have a rhythm instrument (tambourine, drum, triangle) at home, this can be a fun addition, but is not required.
